About Phil & Muneeza
Phil and Muneeza have over 45 years combined experience of working in primary education and children’s welfare.
Phil McDermott
Phil is very well known and valued in primary schools across the country and beyond for his many creative and engagingly told stories. His highly successful Oracy to Writing Process has already benefited thousands of children at all abilities across the UK and abroad.
Phil has been working as a storyteller, playwright, drama specialist and teacher training consultant in British schools for over 18 years. Before this he was a successful actor in theatre, television and radio. His most famous acting role was as Trevor Short, a regular character in the BBC soap opera East Enders.
Muneeza Inam
Muneeza has worked with vulnerable women and children for over 26 years. She has brought this experience to bear on her understanding of how to meet the needs of children with learning and other difficulties. She has helped to develop the Oracy to Writing Process with an understanding of the importance of a positive learning and social environment for children.
